Studied in Tartu from 1906 to 1909 under P.Myunhhen and in K.Raud’s Studio then continued his studies in St. Petersburg from 1910 to 1920 (Studio of V. Mate’ in 1915 and 1916, under A.Rylov in 1918). As a grant – aided student he got the opportunity to travel to Vienna.
Arnold Vihvelin participated in many exhibitions in Estonia, Russia, Germany and Finland.
